In a world full of people trying to connect, Scot and Brianne found each other online, and just clicked.
Their first date was simple but pretty memorable. Brianne, full of anxious energy and with her two insane puppies, invited Scot to take a walk through Fish Creek. As they walked, Brianne couldn’t stop talking about everything from the puppies to the weather, and Scot, with his easy-going smile, was just happy to listen.
It felt natural — like they’d known each other longer than they really had.
Over the next few weeks, they talked non stop through Hinge, texts and phone calls and learned a lot about each other while Scot worked away.
Love grew, as they spent time together - whether it was a hike at Grassy Lakes, a quiet coffee at a local café, or just another stroll in the park, every moment together felt right.
Then came summer, and their trip to Scotland. It was there, surrounded by Scotland’s rolling hills, old castles, many laughs and memories with Scot's friends and family that they knew it was love.
When they came back from the trip, neither of them wanted to be apart for long. Scot slowly moved in, first his x-box, then his dishes, and even though they weren’t huge fans of the noisy downtown rental they shared they found comfort in the small things — like their love for the Dorset Pub, and walks with Zora.
In 2023, they found a new place to call home. The house was a blank slate, just waiting for them to make it their own, and for Brianne to put Scot to work with all her design ideas. Soon after settling in, they decided to expand their family by adding Tono because one silly duck toller was not enough.
Then in June of 2024, Scot took Brianne back to Fish Creek, the same place where they first met. In the spot they’d walked so many times before, he dropped to one knee and asked her to spend forever with him. With the dogs barking in the background and happy tears, Brianne said yes.
And so now they start a new adventure together as husband and wife— one full of love, laughter, and the knowledge that no matter what life throws at them, they’ll always have each other.
